The white arrow and dot near the bottom are where the algators were.
This is actually just South of the Couturie Forest and Arboretum Trail near the circle on Harrison Ave.
This alligator was just swimming along until I stopped and got out the car to take a picture. Then he turned and started swimming towards me. All the while, he watched me like a hawk. It was pretty cool until I realized how close I was to the water's edge.
.
He watched and swam towards me until he saw the other gator.
They weren't very big, only about 6 feet. Then they stared at each other for at least a minute and my nose itched so much that I thought, it will only take a second to scratch it and...
they swung their tails at each other and the one in the back disappeared. I missed my one chance at a great shot!
The other alligator finally appeared again but this time they stayed far apart. Out of about 90 pictures, I only got about 5 or so good ones. The sun was shining on the water and the gators were dark.
