Floating the Colorado River

and

Sunset at the Grand Canyon.

Click on the pictures for a larger view.

This is the bridge over the Colorado River right past the dam at Lake Powell. The line of blue boats down there at the bottom right are the boats we took on our morning rafting trip down the river. The dam as well as the cliff walls are about 7,000 feet high.

After a long walk in 100 degree heat, we could see the bird's eye view of part of the path of our rafting trip. See the next 2 pictures for a worm's eye view.

On the road back to Grand Canyon from the rafting trip at Page, AZ.

The next 4 pictures are of a sunset taken not toward the sun but away from it so that as the sun went down the camera could see the color changes in the canyon.

They are all taken from the exact same spot all within 20 minutes. These sunsets and sunrises were unreal!
